August DT challenge

A new Mermaid card for the Classic Design Team Open Challenge.

The digi-stamp from Paper Nest Dolls used for this card can be found here.

The mermaid was colored with COPIC markers and the background was created with distress inks, glitter embossing powder (imitation of the fish skin) and silhouette elements as well as the sentiment stamped with Archival Ink by Ranger.

Another 3D chipboard...
This time from Anemone.

It's a box with a ferries wheel on top that can spin:

I made a little video to show how the wheel moves. It is kinda difficult to make it move with just one hand, especially to close the drawer

Happy Birthday!

Birthday cards are the cutest to make cause they seem super special and as a gift, we want it to look the best we can make...

The skunk is from Your Next Stamp stamp set and the background was made with unbranded silicone stamp set that I got a while back with a crafting magazine.

The skunk is colored with Spectrum Noir markers, a bit for trying them a out I must admit as I just got them this week.
The flowers and bee background and grass are colored with ZIG real brush watercolor markers. It was a sort of challenge for me as well as I hardly used my markers before, but I must say I liked coloring the flowers a lot :) I think watercolor will be my 2nd fav just after alcohol markers :)

The sentiment comes from Technique Tuesday stamp set and it heat embossed with WOW! silver embossing powder and VersaMark embossing ink pad.

Getting ready for the workshops that I organize in October...

This means getting new "cheaper" markers (well, cheaper than COPICs) for students and of course... getting to know them by coloring some images. I have never used Spectrum Noir markers so it's kinda new to me and Im only getting to know them now.
All I can tell is that they color darker than COPICs as you need more ink to blend the colors - something to remember when coloring the next time.

I chose stamps from Santoro - Gorjuss for the first test.
